Achievements of Adnan Sami Khan

Adnan Sami is a famous Pakistani singer, yes still a famous Pakistani singer, because he hasn't done much in India and because that is what Indian media writes before his name. He is also famous for Pakistan bashing on social media, trying to prove his loyalty to the Indian state. Some people from the Pakistani side of the border have suggested that Adnan Sami is an ISI agent who serves the Pakistani state with dignity and dedication. Unfortunately, though, he is neither respected not much recognized in both the countries.

Here is a look at some of the achievements and accolades of the singer since the past decade, which clearly shows how much he has achieved.

Adnan Sami’s Father served Pakistan prominently

Adnan Sami’s father, Arshad Sami Khan has served Pakistan as a diplomat, bureaucrat and soldier. He joined Pakistan Air Force and became a fighter pilot and took part in the 1965 and 1971 wars where he was awarded Sitara-E-Jurrat for his bravery. After that, he served three Presidents of Pakistan as their aide-de-comp from where he moved onto the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and became chief protocol officer of the Presidents and four other Prime Ministers of Pakistan. He also served as an Ambassador of Pakistan within 10 countries.

Case Registered against Adnan Sami by his Wife for Violence.

Sabah, the wife of defamed singer, approached the police in Mumbai in 2009 and complained that her husband had harassed and abused her, both physically and mentally. She also insisted that the singer tortures her with a cigarette butt. Adnan Sami was then summoned to the police station and warned against misbehaving with his wife in future.

One Hit Song in the past 10 years

Adnan Sami did achieve some success in the first few years but the proudest thing is that he has achieved a lot from 2010 to 2019 and has given one hit song, which actually was an old Pakistani religious qawali ‘Bhar do Jholi’.

Application for Indian Citizenship Rejected

After living in India for almost 13 years, Adnan Sami applied for Indian Citizenship at the Mumbai Police Station but Shiv Sena, the hardcore Hindu Political party and the terrorist group started protests and his application was rejected within a month, with no particular reason given.

Adnan’s Sami Indian Visa Expired

With nowhere to go, Adnan Sami applied for Indian Visa extension but was refused on the grounds that he has not spent enough time in India and has not performed the required amount of Artistic activities, which was the basis of his initial visa.

Request to Renounce Pakistani citizenship rejected

The not so famous Bollywood singer said in 2015; “I don’t need the green passport anymore. I have found my home in India,” and requested the Pakistani government to renounce his citizenship but the authorities refused to do anything about it saying that they cannot respond to his request at this time.

Pakistani NOC for other country’s nationality request rejected

Adnan Sami applied for a NOC from Pakistani authorities to apply for Indian citizenship but his application was rejected by the Pakistani government. Remember, a NOC is a basic requirement to apply for any other country’s citizenship. The reason given by the Pakistani government was “Why would we issue the certificate to a man who has no respect for ‘sacred’ documents.”

Adnan Sami requests India to let him stay on Humanitarian Grounds

The not so famous singer appealed the Indian Authorities to legalise his stay in the country on humanitarian grounds as he did not possess any visa to stay in the country and did not have a proper passport of any other country at the time.

Pakistan revoked Adnan Sami’s Nationality

Pakistan decides to revoke Adnan Sami’s Passport on the grounds that he had broken several laws of the country and failed to fulfil his duties as the country, Pakistan still though, refuses to give the singer an NOC and also decide not to revoke his citizenship, hence ensuring he can never apply to another country for their citizenship.

Oh and he has Married thrice.

Adnan Sami was first married to actress Zeba Bakhtiar in 1993, with whom he had a son named Azaan Sami Khan. They divorced after three years and he then left for India. There, he married Saba Galadari and the marriage ended in divorce as well because he wife registered a domestic violence case against the singer. He then married for the third time with Roya Sami Khan and the pair are still together! That’s an achievement.
