Pakistan VS Australia: The Unpredictable Team Wins the Game!

Written By: Bariyah Faisal

Yes, Pakistan has done it again. And that match was the biggest proof was Pakistan's unpredictably. Who would have thought that Pakistan would make 191 after succumbing to 130 against India. And India's bowling is not threatening either. But the win over Australia didn't come that easily. There were couple of drop catches, poor fielding, two early wickets, 30 runs in one over of Bhatti, but in the end Pakistan won it.

The innings of Umar Akmal and Maxwell were superb. The finest in one match, I would say. Akmal's 94 are the second highest score by a Pakistani in t20s and those runs came at the perfect moment. His 94 included 9 fours and 4 sixes. He added 95 runs for the 3rd wicket with his brother Kamran. While Maxwell innings gave Pakistani fans mini heart attacks, they certainly were excellent If he would have stayed a little longer, the match would have been over for Pakistan.

Maxwell made the fourth highest half century of t20s. He was playing spinners better than any other Australian batsmen. Aaron Finch gained confidence from him and he also made a half century. Maxwell's catch was dropped at 70 by Ajmal but Afridi made sure that no more damage was done and Maxwell was gone after playing blistering innings of 74.

After Maxwell's departure Australia was never in the match, they lost 4 wickets in 20 balls. Saeed Ajmal's last over made things more difficult for Australians. That over conceded only one runs and a wicket. Surely, that is Saeed Ajmal for you! Australia needed 25 runs off the last over and you know what they lost 3 wickets and could make only 6 runs. The most surprising thing was that Bhatti bowled the last over and he made a good, quick recovery.

Well, this is how Pakistan won the thriller of t20 world cup and a must win game ... If Pakistan keep on playing like this and impressing us with their unpredictability, then there is no doubt Pakistan will be the world t20 champions. Good luck team Pakistan! You guys rock!
