The Daisy Pearl Soul

Written By: Yumna Ghori.

Stands under the pouring rain
Gettin' drenched.
Blinks away the pearl drops,
as they overflows from the dark long lashes.
Gazes above, wide eyed, wonders...
"What deed payed-off.?"

Eager lean arms, outstretches themselves.
As the garment of rain drapes itself around
the Daisy-Pearl Soul.
Sins of ages past.
Stains rubbed against fragile innocence.
Shrouds of dark veils.
All casted off.
As the Daisy-Pearl Soul falls on its knees.
As heaviness wore off.
Stands under the pouring rain
Gettin' drenched.
The sun smiles from behind the curtain of white woolen clouds.
Rays of bright kaleidoscopic colours soaks into sight.
Manifestation of life;
Sparkles in eyes,
flushes crimson roses on cheeks,
and incarnates itself in the flawless smile.
Like a doe,
the Daisy-Pearl Soul, sprints towards the ducet rhythms,
and dances.
Blinks away the pearl drops as they overflows,
down the dark long lashes.
Gazes above, chin up,
Wide-eyes wonders, "What deed payed off?"
